COUNSELLING SKILL WORKSHOP

In this comprehensive workshop, I enhanced my core counselling skills, focusing on the structure, process, and techniques essential for effective practice. I explored key topics such as starting a session, paraphrasing, summarising feelings, maintaining confidentiality, and managing therapeutic relationships. I was also introduced to major therapeutic models, including Cognitive-Behavioural, Person-Centred, and Systemic approaches.

The course covered practical elements like contracting, written records, assessment, and supervision. Through small group activities and feedback, I practiced evaluating and refining my counselling techniques, preparing myself for professional development and real-world application.
